Theme: Let's Explore our Local State Parks! 

 

Dates: Monday through Wednesday, February 21-23

 

Times: 10 AM until 2 PM - participants bring their own lunches, water bottles, outdoor gear, backpacks, and change of clothes 

 

** Discover Pass or single day-use pass is required to park at/visit WSP; Pass not required for strictly drop-off/pick-up 

 

Schedule:

Monday, February 21st - meet at Flaming Geyser State Park 

 

Tuesday, February 22nd - meet at Nolte State Park

 

Wednesday, February 23rd - meet at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park

 

What's in store for our Questers: 

-songs

-stories

-games (scavenger hunt, etc.)

-fun exploration on land and near rivers/lakes

-nature-themed science and art activities

-ecology/conservation 

-plant identification

-bird watching 

-animal tracking

-history & culture (this includes American Indian/Indigenous cultures)

-(possibly, TBD) a visit from a forest ranger
