MJ McNeill

Sunrise Administrator
Associate Mentor

MJ, a native Dutchie raised in a Waldorf-inspired household, brings a unique blend of experiences and perspectives to our school. As the proud mother of two tweens, MJ's passion for natural parenting and non-traditional education approaches was sparked by her own parenting journey. During her children's early years, she actively volunteered in their classrooms and scouting troops, accumulating over a decade of experience serving on various school boards and PTA's as well.

As an Associate Mentor for both Wilderness Whimsy and Friends of the Forest, MJ strives to foster a warm and creative environment that encourages kindness, curiosity and critical thinking, while inspiring awe and wonder for our natural world. With a Bachelor's degree in Communication Management, MJ also applies her communication skills in her role as Ashlar's new Sunrise Administrator.

In her spare time, MJ enjoys an ever-rotating array of interests and hobbies, including knitting, painting/drawing, Geocaching, reading, interior design, and travel.
