Rachel Jensen

Rachel Jensen came to Ashlar after teaching in a multitude of different settings. She has taught overseas, in specialised education, tutoring centres, language immersion schools, the public school system, and in distance learning. Mrs. Jensen received a post-baccalaureate from Western Washington University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, along with a bilingual German-English teaching degree. She earned two additional Bachelor's degrees, one in Linguistics and the one in German, with two minors in history and in theatre. She has taught nearly every subject (from Latin to algebra, chemistry, English, history, and so on). In doing so, she has worked with children as young as six months to adults 80+. Mrs. Jensen has also worked in the professional theatre and film industries. In her spare time, she loves reading, writing, music, cycling, hiking, and travel.
